Martin Luther said, “To be a Christian without praying is no more possible than to be alive without breathing.”

We know this is true, but in our modern world of busyness and distraction developing a meaningful prayer life, or deepening our existing prayer life, can be challenging.

We invite you to join us for this four week class, created by John Mark Comer and Practicing the Way. Whether you are a beginner at prayer or have been at it a long time but long for more, you will find something to encourage and help you deepen your life with God in this course. We will explore Talking to God, Talking with God, Listening to God, and Being with God. Along the way, we will touch on many forms of prayer: written prayers, prayers of gratitude and lament, prayers of petition and intercession, lectio divina, the examen, contemplative prayer, and more. As Practicing the Way describes, to grow in prayer is “to live each day more and more aware of and deeply connected to our Father; to be transformed into the likeness of his Son, Jesus; and to be filled with the fullness of his Spirit, to do what he made you to do in the world.”

Due to the meeting time of our Sunday session, you will have the option to purchase a catered lunch or you are welcome to bring your own lunch. Link for the Monday evening Zoom class will be sent after you register. For more information, contact Jasona Brown.
