Welcome to Formation and Prayer at Greenwood!
Spiritual formation transforms disciples of Jesus, making us more and more like him.
God is a living, personal presence, not a piece of chiseled stone. And when God is personally present — a living Spirit, nothing between us and God, our faces shining with the brightness of his face — we are transfigured, our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful as God enters our lives and we become like him.

The Practices of Jesus
Jesus invites us to “follow Him,” to adopt His practices, so that He can shape more of His LIFE and character in us across our lifetime.
Explore the practices of Jesus here.
In-Service Prayer
Prayer ministers are available to pray with you during our Sunday morning services. Confidentiality is always honored. We hope you let us seek the Lord with you for peace, encouragement, rest, or any form of healing (relational, physical, emotional, or spiritual).
The Healing Presence
Prayer ministers will meet with you for more extended prayer sessions. The team will aim to support and facilitate a deep personal interaction between you and Jesus, allowing Jesus to restore your soul as He promises to do in Psalm 23. The Healing Presence can help people heal from trauma, anxiety, grief, guilt, unforgiveness, destructive memories, demonic oppression, and other painful struggles.

Counseling
Counseling can help us understand ourselves more deeply and equip us with life-skills. If you feel the need of a counselor, please contact Jasona Brown and she can help you choose from a referral list of dedicated Christian counselors.
Spiritual Direction
God designed us to need one another. When we meet with a spiritual director, that person helps us discern what the Lord is up to in our lives at that moment and how we can best respond. A spiritual director can help us get “un-stuck” in our relationship with God and continue to grow into Him. Please contact Jasona Brown for a referral.
